Books

I'm all signed up for next semester's classes, but I don't know where to get my books. Is the University Book Store the bottom line in UW-Madison book sales, or are there better alternatives? Should I look into the book exchange services around campus?

Groceries

I need to buy food, but don't have a car and I don't know where any grocery stores are nearby. Also, does anyone know where I can buy organic produce?

Housing

I've heard that people need to sign a lease in November in order to get decent housing for the next year. Do the nice apartments/houses really fill up that fast or is it just the landlords pressuring people?

Busses

I'm really sick of walking all around campus, especially since the weather is really nice out. Are there any bus routes that can take me to class. and how much does it cost to ride them?

Apartments

I'm going to be a freshman next year and plan to live in the dorms, but want to move to an apartment my sophomore year. I heard the "good" apartments fill up really quickly. I'm afraid I'm not going to get the apartment I  want! When do I need to start looking and when do I need to sign my lease?

Sporting event packages

I'm wondering which sporting events I should get season tickets to next fall at Madison? Is it worth it to get tickets for football? Hockey? Basketball? I'm also worried I won't know any cheers if I go to the games. How should I go about learning them?

Furnishing My Apartment

I'm going to be a sophomore next semester, so I'm moving out of the dorms and into my first apartment. Where's a good place in Madison to get furniture? I need a place that not only has nice stuff, but will assemble it and deliver it for me.
