I'm all signed up for next semester's classes, but I don't know where to get my books. Is the University Book Store the bottom line in UW-Madison book sales, or are there better alternatives? Should I look into the book exchange services around campus?
heyy...the underground textbook exchange is a great alternative to the UW bookstore. Many professors will even require you to get books that are only sold at Underground and it's located right on state street by Walgreens.
another option is to order your books online ahead of time at the uwbookstore. that way, you don't have to wait in line at the store and you avoid the crowd. they get all your books for you, and it doesn't even cost extra!

half.com also has some cheap books and if you know exactly what textbooks you need you can probably find them there.
