Dear Insider, My girlfriends' birthday is comming up and I'm not sure where I should take her out to dinner. Is there any sort of resturant or bar near campus that specializes in birthdays?
The Nitty Gritty is a great birthday place, especially for 21st birthdays. It's right off Frances near the Kohl Center so it's a really convenient location and you are sure to have a good time.
If you take your girlfriend somewhere cheap like the Nitty, she will surely dump you.
Since it's the summmer, a warm night on the patio of Porta Bella should do. It's been voted as the most romantic and best Italian for 13 years in a row!

try ocean grille, it's right near the capitol. oh and then, sucre for dessert
I recommend Tutto Pasta over Porta Bella for Italian food. If you're looking for something a little pricey, try Crave or Johnny Delmonoco's.
