Greek life

Dear Insider-

I'm worried if I don't join a fraternity on campus, I'll struggle to have a social life. That would make me very sad and oh so lonely.

How important is going greek in Madison? Is it necessary to participate in a frat? What's the best way to go about selecting one?

you don't have to join a frat to be a part of the social scene on campus. it's totally up to you-actually most students aren't part of greek life. some people love it though, and it is a great way to make friends. check out this article supporting greek life at madison:http://www.journalism.wisc.edu/restricted/j202/spring08/andrews/social/greek.html
