I've heard that people need to sign a lease in November in order to get decent housing for the next year. Do the nice apartments/houses really fill up that fast or is it just the landlords pressuring people?
no this is not true, its just something that goes around to scare freshman. Its true popular places like Palisades, equinox and spring st. apartments go fast, but you can find a decent house that is relatively close to campus well into the spring.
you can definitely still find places, but a lot of good locations can fill up quickly around the state street area. a lot of ppl rent out apartments last minute though. check out craigslist.com or fliers around campus.
